Love Your Neighbor Bus Ministry: If you have ever had a heart for home missions, reaching children and adults outside the church, this is the place for you. We will be organizing outreach programs for the community, setting up mentors for children, prayer partners and groups for this ministry. Project Hope: We are an outreach ministry of CLCA where men and women are trained and equipped to minister in varying capacities to the men and women incarcerated or serving at Harrison County Adult Detention Center (HCADC), to their families and to those reentering society. We meet once a month with ministry opportunities throughout the month: prayer, writing letters to a pen pal, going to the jail and ministering, or helping Chaplain Collins with filing, planning special events, projects etc.

Statistically speaking 1 in 4 of the average population has been personally touched by imprisonment in some way. As we project the love of Jesus into the jail and prisons we hope to be a safe place where those who are or have been affected by incarceration can be ministered to and given the hope that Jesus was born to bring. Of those who accept Christ and the changed life He brings 85-90% never return to jail.
