You can help support our Vintage Fine Arts group by eating dinner at Chick-fil-A in the Promenade on Thursday, May 17th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. A portion of the monies from your meals will go to help support this ministry.

Vintage Summer Camp

Teen 2 Camp – June 25 – 29, 2012 – Indian Springs Campground, Kosciusko, MS – Guest Speaker: Allen Griffin

Incredible things happen at camp! This summer we are excited about the amazing things that are going to be happening at our teen camp. Our theme is reGENERATION and we will have all kinds of special surprises waiting for you when you come. You will have an incredible time as you connect with other students from around the state. You will also have the opportunity to connect with Jesus and see the unimaginable destiny He has planned for you. We promise an amazing 5 day adventure filled with all kinds of surprises which you will remember for the rest of your life. Do not waste time this summer! Make plans to get away from the everyday stuff and come to camp, you will be glad you did.

Early Bird Registration: by May 11th – Pre-registration Fee $60 (non-refundable & transferable by permission only). Free T-shirt with Early Bird Special! Total due $140.

Regular Registration: after May 11th - Pre-registration Fee $75 (non-refundable & transferable by advanced permission only). No free T-shirt. Total due $155.

SCHOLARSHIPS: This year we will have between 10 and 15 students who will want to attend camp and will not be able to afford it without your help. Please consider giving a student an opportunity for God to change their life. Pastor Eddie

Vintage Cross Training

NC3 – PLACE Class Dates

This workshop uses PLACE curriculum for an exciting time of self-discovery as we learn together about your personality type, spiritual gifts, abilities, passions and life experiences and how they can come together in ministry at Cedar Lake and/or the community.

PLACE meets Sundays from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. in the Welcome Center. P1-April 29; P2-May 6; P3-May 13; P4-May 20.

Next session begins in June: P1-June 3; P2-June 10; P3-June 17; P4-June 24.

NC2 – Connect Class Dates

Connect is our four week program where you will discover what our core values and beliefs are, as well as what the ministries of Cedar Lake are, and most importantly, you will find out how you can find your place and plug into an area you are passionate about in ministry. In addition you will have the opportunity to apply for membership at the end of the class.

Connect Classes meet Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in the Welcome Center. C1-April 29; C2-May 6; C3-May 13; C4-May 20.

“Love the City” Opportunities

CASA – Court Appointed Special Advocates – Each child put in a situation of neglect or abuse needs an advocate to be their voice. CASA is an organization that helps you be that voice in court and make recommendations on what is in their best interest. This is a longer term commitment and requires 30 hours of training.

Youth For Christ Semi-Annual Waterpark Lock-In – Friday, May 11th – Youth For Christ is in need of Adult Volunteers to help with this event at Gulf Islands Waterpark in Gulfport. There are 3 shifts: 1st Shift: 7pm-1:30am; 2nd Shift:1am-7am; and the All Night Shift. If you are interested in helping out, please call the Youth For Christ office at 228-864-0788, give themyour info, and pick a shift.

Advocates For Freedom - Saturday, May 12^th from 9am-12noon – Work Day for Advocates for Freedom – a human trafficking awareness organization on the coast. We will be putting together ribbons to hand out and other small projects that this local organization needs. They will be opening a home for rescued kids in the area this year and we will have other opportunities to be involved in this ministry throughout the year.
